Events

There are many opportunities to walk, sponsor, volunteer or celebrate with Nashville CARES. Each of these events translates community support from people like you into HIV prevention, testing and care for thousands of our fellow Tennesseans every year.

Nashville AIDS Walk & 5K Run

Now in its 35th year, the Nashville AIDS Walk & 5K Run is Tennessee's oldest continuously running HIV/AIDS fundraiser and a landmark event in the fight to end the HIV epidemic in Tennessee. Each year, thousands of walkers, volunteers and supporters come together in a powerful show of community commitment.

For CARES partners, the AIDS Walk offers high-visibility brand recognition alongside one of Nashville's most trusted nonprofit organizations. Stay tuned for details coming soon!

Dining Out For Life

Dining Out For Life® Nashville has become a community-driven tradition in Tennessee for an amazing 25 years. DOFL brings together local restaurants, corporate sponsors, volunteer host ambassadors and the community at large in support of our mission to end HIV in Tennessee for good.

The basic idea is simple: area restaurants agree to donate 25-100% of a single day’s sales from breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. In return, we promote them before, during and after.

Last year’s DOFL events generated over $4.5M across 25 cities in the U.S. and Canada. The Nashville event delivered over 19 million impressions, attracting thousands of diners while raising visibility for CARES and our partner restaurants alike.

Pride

In 2026, Nashville CARES was on the ground at Pride celebrations across Middle Tennessee and Memphis, connecting with thousands of community members at some of the region's largest LGBTQIA+ events.

Our teams provided HIV education, free HIV testing resources and direct connection to prevention and care services. As always, this is all about meeting people where they are and building trust in the communities we serve.

WHEN: June 2027: TBD

“My body is strong. My mind is strong. I’m healthier than I’ve been in a very long time. I have CARES to thank for that. They treated all of me – not just my illness."
