Nashville CARES Announces 2014 Dining Out For Life Sponsors and Participating Restaurants
Wednesday, April 02, 2014
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 an estimated 6,000 people will dine out to fight HIV/AIDS in Nashville. Nashville Pharmacy Services and Embassy Dental are Co-Presenting Sponsors of the event locally, where restaurants participate in Dining Out For Life by donating a generous percentage of proceeds from the day’s meals to Nashville CARES.
“Dining Out For Life allows us the opportunity to support Nashville CARES and all of the great work that they do to support those living with HIV/AIDS in our community. By simply going out to eat and enjoying a meal with friends and loved ones you are able to help those in our community living with HIV/AIDS,” said Kevin Hartman, Nashville Pharmacy Services.
Dining Out For Life is the first dine-out fundraiser of its kind and has raised millions for HIV/AIDS service organizations across North America. In 2013, more than $150,000 was raised to fight HIV/AIDS in Middle Tennessee. Now in its 12th year and with over 75 participating restaurants in 2014, it is considered one of Nashville’s most fun and interactive fundraising events.
So how does it work? Thousands of people from all over the metro Nashville area will choose their favorite participating restaurant and dine out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, knowing that a percentage of their bill will be donated by the restaurant to benefit Nashville CARES and the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Several establishments are extending Dining Out For Life this year by adding weekend meals. The Lipstick Lounge, Five Points Pizza, 3 Crow Bar, Suzy Wong’s House of Yum and blvd will all be participating in a special weekend edition of Dining Out For Life. 2014 marks Subaru’s eighth year as International Host of the annual eating extravaganza involving food, family, friends and fundraising. Nashville CARES is pleased to welcome Downtown Subaru as a local partner and sponsor for this year’s event.
Additional sponsors include: Gold Fork Sponsor—Bridgestone; Silver Spoon Sponsors—Downtown Subaru, HCA Tristar Health, Nashville Originals, and Vanderbilt University; and Bronze Knife Sponsors—BancorpSouth, The Dorothy Cate & Thomas Frist Foundation, Fifth Third Bank, Fridrich, Pinson & Rothberg Insurance Agency, Kraft CPAs and Salas Law Group.
