Monday, March 25, 2013
Nashville CARES welcomes MStreet’s “Virago” restaurant to the 2013 Dining Out For Life lineup. Virago will donate 30% of dinner proceeds to Nashville CARES during Dining Out For Life on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
“We’re happy to have MStreet represented this year through the inclusion of Virago. With over 70 restaurants in Middle Tennessee participating in DOFL, this truly is a premier dining event for a great cause,” said Dining Out For Life Committee Co-Chair and local food blogger, Chris Chamberlain.
Located at 1126 McGavock St. in Nashville, Virago is the city’s premier Asian fusion and sushi restaurant and has been dubbed a “temple of cosmopolitan sophistication.” The sleek cocktail scene has become the place to see, be seen or just be. Above all, Virago is an experience. The passage to the restaurant features walls of tiger wood and Japanese-themed landscaping that transports diners into another world. Virago offers both sushi and non-sushi items, wraparound booths and chic private dining rooms. The expansive rooftop patio features its own bar, lounge, and dining area, making it one of the best terraces for dining and cocktails in the city. Recently, Virago has been recognized as one of the “TOP 100 Restaurant Hotspots in the U.S.” in the OpenTable diner’s survey.
Considered one of Nashville’s most fun and interactive fundraising events, Dining Out For Life has raised millions for HIV/AIDS service organizations across North America, with more than $115,000 raised in 2012 to fight HIV/AIDS in Middle Tennessee. On Tuesday, April 23, 2013, more than 6,000 diners will DINE OUT in more than 70 restaurants that are donating a portion of their proceeds to Nashville CARES, knowing that a percentage of their bill will be donated by the restaurant to benefit Nashville CARES and the fight against HIV/AIDS.
