Home For The Holidays

Give the Gift of Personalized Home Care

$35 can provide 1 person living with HIV essential needs within their home, like the ability to customize their own grocery list for at-home food delivery, have access to personal laundry care, and receive a cell phone to stay connected to important appointments, and with their loved ones.

"I was so excited to look out on my porch and find bags of fresh produce and much-needed groceries! Now I am preparing healthy meals that I would not be able to do without CARES help."  -William

Give the Gift of Extended Family

Your one-time gift of $100 can provide 4 people living with HIV, access to our HealthyU's social peer groups. The holidays can be difficult for some who experience isolation and depression. These groups help develop healthy life skills and create a supportive "extended family" bond with others.

"I felt lonely and isolated as an HIV-positive man. So, I started attending a CARES men's group that helped connect me with other HIV-positive men. The mental health and addiction support groups have been key in my becoming whole and healthy. When I walk through the doors at CARES, I feel like I'm part of the family, like we're in this together."  -Colin

Give The Gift of Home at Last

$250 can provide 1 person or family who recently experienced homelessness with essential household items such as cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, and paper products; and receive a cell phone to stay connected to important appointments, and with their loved ones. This gift can also help furnish their home over time.

"At my lowest point, I was homeless and struggling with substance use. I wanted my life back but realized I couldn't do it alone. I knew CARES could help me get there... and they did. Now thanks to CARES I'm not only thriving, but I'm also mentoring other women who are living with HIV." -Margaret
