The Women Touched by Addiction Day

July 23 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Nashville CARES’ Curbside Community Healthcare Mobile Medical Unit and the Nashville CARES Safety First and DART Program will partner with Mending Hearts to provide free services on July 23, 2023, in observance of National Women Touched By Addiction Day. Services include free HIV/HCV testing, PrEP referrals, free condoms (all sizes, including latex-free), and lube.

National Women Touched By Addiction Day was founded by the American non-profit organization Mending Hearts in Nashville, Tennessee. The first marking of this annual observance was organized by Mending Hearts in 2021. Americans now observe National Women Touched by Addiction Day each year on July 23rd. As one of the most significant observations that have only recently begun gaining traction, National Women Touched By Addiction Day aims to raise awareness regarding the issue of women suffering from addiction. This social issue has touched many women across the United States and has recently elicited the founding of several initiatives and educational and support programs.
