Three major community events annually raise funds for Nashville CARES and raise awareness of the continued need to fight HIV/AIDS locally.  Funds raised support the work of Nashville CARES, including HIV prevention education reaching nearly 50,000 people from every walk of life, and support services for more than 2,400 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.  Nashville CARES is a charitable corporation and serves 17 counties of northern Middle Tennessee.
We welcome volunteers, sponsors, and contributions for all community events.  Click below to get involved.  You may also email or phone:

Dining Out For Life --- scheduled for Tuesday, April 27, 2010 -- www.diningoutforlife.com
Dining Out for Life is a one-day event when at least 60 Nashville restaurants contribute a generous portion of food and non-alcoholic beverage sales to Nashville CARES.  Thousands of Middle Tennesseans support the cause by dining out that day at a participating restaurant.  There are other opportunities to help out, too.  Volunteer "hosts" make a commitment to organize friends, family or colleagues to dine out at a specific restaurant and to help ensure the restaurant is filled.  Other volunteers help with publicity and logistics.  Check the website for last year's restaurant list and sponsors.  Phone or email Jenean Davis, Development Associate, (615) 259-4866 x291 to let us know if you are interested in participating as a restaurant, volunteer or sponsor in 2010.

Nashville CARES AIDS Walk --- scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2010
The Nashville CARES AIDS Walk mobilizes individuals and teams from business and community groups to ask friends, family and colleagues to contribute to Nashville CARES and help fight HIV and AIDS locally.  Walkers begin organizing and networking as soon as they sign up, with most fundraising by volunteers taking place June through September.

The AIDS Walk is a relatively easy 3 miles in the park and downtown streets. Free, family-friendly festivities include a Community Health & Wellness Fair, kids' activities, a shorter infield walk, refreshments and stage entertainment.

The 2009 Nashville CARES AIDS Walk, held Sept 26, raised $185,000 for the local fight against HIV/AIDS. Thank you to all who contributed and took part!

Artrageous --- TBA in Fall, 2010 -- www.artrageous.org
Artrageous includes evening fine-art gallery openings with refreshments at selected galleries around town, followed by a lively music and dance party.  Artrageous benefits Nashville CARES exclusively, raising funds through special Host Committee ticket and transportation packages, contributions by the galleries of a share of art sales, sponsorships, and general-admission ticket sales. The event is run by volunteers of Artrageous, Inc., a non-profit organization established in 1987 to raise funds for the fight against HIV and AIDS in response to the devastating impact of the epidemic on the arts community.  Visit the Artrageous website for event details, the gallery list, and contact information if you are interested in participating, volunteering, or sponsoring this terrific event in the future.
