Special instructions come to Nashville CARES exactly as you write them. For example, you can provide joint donor name(s), alternate address we should use (different from billing), the name of a person "in honor" or "in memory" of whom you are giving, and/or the name and address of anyone you would like us to notify of your honor or memory gift.

Email confirmation/receipt: An email transaction confirmation/receipt will be sent immediately via our secure payment processor. Please print or otherwise keep for your records and tax purposes. Nashville CARES also mails letters of acknowledgment for gifts of $250 or more as required by the IRS. Nashville CARES is a 501(c)3 charitable corporation. A charitable gift for which no tangible benefit is received is tax-deductible to the donor. Check with your financial advisor.

Cards to notify others of honor or memory gifts: If you provide a name and postal address for the honoree or a survivor of the person memorialized, we will mail a printed card of notification of your thoughtfulness. We do not specify an amount, only that you contributed. For timely delivery, allow a week before special occasions such as a birthday or holiday.

Privacy Policy: Nashville CARES uses information you provide to process and acknowledge your donation according to appropriate laws and regulations. We do not share financial information such as credit card numbers except as necessary to process your specific transaction. Financial information is protected through use of a secure server and is not stored after transactions are completed. We use contact information (name, email, mailing address, phone) to communicate with you about your donation. We may in addition send email or postal mail with occasional news about the agency, its work in the community, and events.
