Who Can Recieve Services?
CARES services are to help people living with HIV / AIDS. This help often includes working with their partners, spouses, children and families. All of the services are provided to clients free of charge based upon need.
The only requirement for being a client is to have HIV/AIDS, and to provide proof of your diagnosis. CARES staff will have you sign a release to get this information. However, if you have a copy of labs reports and can bring that with you for your intake or any appointment, that is helpful.
The ability to receive any individual CARES Services is determined by meeting with a CARES staff member who will discuss your need, the service and how you may qualify to receive the service. If it is decided that the service is not appropriate to your need, the staff will talk with you about that and help you find other resources to meet that need.
